'There were huge flames,' says M5 crash witness

"Several" people are believed to have been killed in a major crash involving 27 vehicles on the M5 in Somerset, police say.

Eyewitnesses at the scene say that after traffic came to a halt there was "a big ball of flames" coming from the vehicles in front.
