Teacher: Strike is a last resort

Tens of thousands of schools across the UK are closed as teachers join what unions claim is the biggest public sector walkout for over 30 years.

Members of the NAHT head teachers' union are striking for the first time.

Staff in the NUT, NASUWT and ATL are also backing the strike, which is linked to a dispute over reforms to public sector pensions.

Colette Hume spoke to the head teacher of of Baden Powell Primary School in Cardiff, Jason Clark, who said taking strike action was "a last resort".
