PM David Cameron 'prepared to veto a new EU treaty'

The prime minister has said he would veto any new EU treaty proposed in negotiations in Brussels later this week if it did not protect Britain's interests.

Speaking to the BBC's Nick Robinson, David Cameron said it was vital to save the single currency, but that he would not sign up to a treaty to deal with the eurozone crisis if it came at the expense of the UK.
