British troops mark Christmas in Helmand

Some 9,500 British service personnel are working as usual in Afghanistan, thousands of miles from their loved ones, in the sixth year UK forces have been stationed there.

But there are small nods to the day, with Christmas services in Camp Bastion's tiny church and a traditional Christmas meal and extra time to phone home for everyone.
