Meteor sightings across Britain

Police forces across the UK say they have been inundated with calls after a large meteor was spotted in the sky.

Reports of a "bright light" were made to police forces across Scotland and the north of England.

Meteorwatch said it had also had reports of sightings as far south as Devon.
