Can a sat-nav get you to a place faster than a cab driver?

The Department of Transport held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss ways to improve satnavs.

There is concern that old information on the devices or their misuse by drivers is causing problems on the roads, especially in rural areas.

BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast wondered if a sat-nav used by reporter Stephen Chittenden would help him reach a location faster than London taxi driver Russell Haul who has The Knowledge.
