Schoolgirl's Chaplin film raises a smile for charity

A twelve-year-old schoolgirl from Yorkshire has come up with a novel way of fundraising for her local children's hospice after saving up her pocket money to make her own charity video two years ago.

Bethany Hare from Horsforth in Leeds has already raised tens of thousands of pounds.

She has received a Rotary Young Citizen Award in recognition of her charity work - chosen from nominations put forward by Rotary Clubs across Britain and Ireland.

The BBC's Ellie Crisell has more.

The Rotary Young Citizen Awards will be presented on the BBC News Channel at 11.30am on Saturday 14 April.
