Qatada legal row is no big deal, says Ken Clarke

The Justice Secretary Ken Clark is downplaying the confusion over the deportation of the radical cleric Abu Qatada.

He has told BBC News the process could take months - but says he doesn't understand why people are getting so agitated about a procedural matter.

He is hosting a meeting of European Justice Ministers in Brighton which will be looking at how to reform the European Court of Human Rights, which is at the centre of the controversy.

Mr Clarke said he did not understand why there was so much fuss.
