Prince Harry's tribute as soldiers abandon Everest climb

Five wounded British soldiers have been forced to abandon their plans to scale Mount Everest because of dangerous conditions.

A spokesman for Walking with the Wounded said the warmest ever conditions on Everest meant there was a higher risk of avalanches.

Speaking at a ceremony at the Atlantic Council in Washington, Prince Harry, the patron of the expedition, paid tribute to the ''extraordinary'' group.
