Milly Dowler's phone was hacked, police confirm

The voicemail of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler was hacked after she went missing in 2002, the police have told the Leveson Inquiry.

But it was not possible to state with any certainty that the 13-year-old's voicemails were deleted, police said.
