French Alps murders 'have origins in UK'

The French prosecutor in the case of three Britons murdered in the Alps says the reasons for their killings "have their origins in UK."

Eric Maillaud was speaking outside Surrey police station after arriving with the judge leading the inquiry. He told reporters that French and British authorities were "co-operating" in the case, though it remained a French-led investigation.

Saad al-Hilli, 50, was shot with his wife, mother-in-law, and a passing cyclist while on holiday. His two daughters survived the attack.
