Police deaths: Community 'in pain, wondering why'

Church services will be held in Greater Manchester on Sunday for two officers who suffered fatal injuries in a gun and grenade attack while on duty.

The Reverend James Halstead from Mottram Parish Church will be leading prayers for PC Nicola Hughes and PC Fiona Bone.

Speaking to the BBC, he said he hoped to help members of the local community "try to come to terms with some of the emotions they are feeling".

"Local people who are in pain, who are hurting, who are wondering why, are thinking where do we go from here?" he added.
