Police have made an appeal for witnesses to come forward after the disappearance of a five-year-old girl in Powys in a suspected abduction.

April Jones was playing with friends near her home in Machynlleth but was seen getting into a light coloured van at about 19:30 BST on Monday.

Speaking to the BBC, Det Supt Reg Bevan from Dyfed Powys Police urged anyone who was in the area at the time to call 0300 2000 333.
