UK charity sets off with convoy of aid to Syrians

An emergency aid group made up of NHS doctors, nurses and other staff has set off with a cargo of food, clothing and medical supplies, bound for Syria.

Civil war has forced hundreds of thousands of people in the country into poverty, while there are limited food supplies and widespread shortages of every necessity.
