Schizophrenia care: 'I don't remember being sectioned'

As an independent inquiry called for a major overhaul of the system for caring for people with schizophrenia, Carley Townsend spoke to the BBC about her experience with the illness.

She first started experiencing symptoms of schizophrenia when was just 14 and said that she had to see several doctors before getting a diagnosis.

She also spoke of the need for better care so that that the illness is not allowed to worsen to the point where patients need to be sectioned.
