Humberside PCC Matthew Grove: 'Real work begins now'

Conservative Matthew Grove has beaten former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott in the race for the role of Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside.

Lord Prescott and Mr Grove had contested a second round of voting in the election, as both candidates failed to get 50% of first preference votes.

Speaking shortly after his victory was confirmed, Mr Grove said that "the real work begins now" and also took the time to pay tribute to his Labour rival.
