Royal baby: Severe sickness 'simple to treat'

The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby but is in hospital with acute morning sickness, St James's Palace has announced.

It is understood that she has not yet passed the 12-week point in her pregnancy.

Consultant obstetrician at Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust Daghni Rajasingam said the condition was ''not pleasant'' but once treated, it was ''relatively simple''.
