Malala: 'My mission is to help people'

Pakistani schoolgirl activist Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban, has said she is feeling better looking forward to continuing her recovery, after undergoing complex surgery in the UK.

Malala was speaking after surgery at the weekend to reconstruct her skull and help restore her hearing.

The 15-year-old, who is being treated at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, was shot on a school bus in October in Pakistan by the Taliban after campaigning for girls' rights.

But she remains determined to continue her fight and a a fund has been set up in her name to help all children get an education.
