Derby fire verdict: Police claim 'Justice has been achieved'
Derbyshire Police have welcomed the conviction of three people for the manslaughter of six children in a house fire, saying "justice has been achieved".
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Cotterill described the case as "shocking" and "one of the most, if not the most upsetting cases" those involved had ever investigated.
Mick and Mairead Philpott and Paul Mosley were found guilty at Nottingham Crown Court.
Jade Philpott, 10, John, nine, Jack, eight, Jesse, six, and Jayden, five, died on the morning of the fire on 11 May 2012.
Mrs Philpott's son from a previous relationship, 13-year-old Duwayne, died later in hospital.
