House sales at three year high
House sales rose to a three-year high in March, while prices also saw a "marked" turnaround, surveyors have reported.
Jeremy Leaf, from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Rics), explained that transaction volume is significant because it means that chains do not break down.
"People are getting out there and trying to negotiate and make something more of the market," he said.
"We like to see activity," he added.
