Prince Harry to join Walking with the Wounded race to South Pole

Prince Harry has paid tribute to a team of wounded British servicemen and women, as he announced plans to join them in a race to the South Pole.

The prince will join the 208-mile (335km) Walking With The Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge in November and December, taking on teams from the US and the Commonwealth.

Prince Harry took part in the charity's trek to the North Pole in 2011 and is already patron of the Antarctica expedition.
