GCHQ Prism spying claims: Agency to report 'shortly'
Labour has called on the government to make a statement to parliament about allegations concerning the eavesdropping agency, GCHQ.
It has been accused of gathering information about people's internet use through a secret American monitoring programme.
GCHQ said it operated within a "strict legal and policy framework".
The agency is expected to report to Parliament within days on claims it has had access to information about the internet activity of British citizens, data gathered through an American spy programme.
Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and Google have all denied giving government agents access to their servers.
