PC Keith Blakelock murder: Nicholas Jacobs remanded

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of PC Keith Blakelock, who died during riots in north London in 1985.

The 40-year-old Met police officer was attacked while trying to protect firefighters during unrest at Broadwater Farm in Tottenham.

Nicholas Jacobs, 44, of Hackney, was remanded in custody by Westminster magistrates on Wednesday.
