CPS: 'Justice achieved for Daniel Pelka'

The mother of Daniel Pelka and her partner have both been given life sentences, with a minimum term of 30 years, for the four-year-old boy's murder.

Magdelena Luczak and Mariusz Krezolek were convicted at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday.

Senior Crown Prosecutor Lisa Windridge said the pair had been sentence for a ''heinous'' crime.

Speaking to reporters, she said: ''We are pleased that justice has finally been achieved for Daniel Pelka''.
