'No quick military solution to Syria crisis'

Professor Michael Clarke of the Royal United Services Institute has said there is ''absolutely no quick military solution'' to the crisis in Syria.

"Any involvement in striking Syria, in effect becomes an involvement in the civil war… we are siding then, with the opposition,'' he added.

Prime Minister David Cameron has said the world cannot stand idly by in the face of the "massive use" of banned weapons.
