Tory MP Andrew Bridgen: HS2 figures 'pie in the sky'
Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen has rejected claims that the proposed HS2 rail project could boost the UK economy by £15bn a year, calling the figures "pie in the sky".
His comments came as a report, commissioned by the company responsible for developing and promoting the project, also said most of HS2's benefits would be felt in the regions and not the capital.
