'Donkey ambulance' helping Afghanistan's pregnant women

Inventive ideas for delivering healthcare cheaply to poor parts of developing countries have been unveiled at a conference at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Among the designs is the Donkey Ambulance - a secure, padded saddle, which is already helping pregnant women in remote areas of Afghanistan to travel to hospital to give birth.

Creator Peter Muckle explained how it works to Tulip Mazumdar.
