Many UK adults lagging on literacy skills, report says

The literacy and numeracy skills of young people in parts of the UK are among the lowest in the developed world, according to a report.

Research carried out by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development says young adults in England and Northern Ireland are falling well behind their counterparts in Asia and Europe.
