Prisoner vote appeals dismissed unanimously

Convicted murderers Peter Chester and George McGeoch have lost their UK Supreme Court battle over the right to vote while in jail.

Supreme Court Justice Lord Mance announced the decision saying that the court had dismissed their appeals unanimously.

The men had argued that EU law gave them a right to vote - even though they cannot under British law.
