A 'tripling' of food bank users say charity

A charity says the number of people relying on food banks to survive has tripled over the past year.

The Trussell Trust, which runs 400 food banks across the UK, has described the situation as "scandalous" and wants a public inquiry.

The government says the increase could be because there are now more food banks and Jobcentre staff are now allowed to direct claimants to them.

Ed Thomas reports.
