Former footballer Tony Kelly on his gambling addiction

The charity Sporting Chance is calling on the government to do more to tackle the issue of gambling.

The group works with sportsmen and women to help them overcome addictions and says 70% of its referrals now relate to problem gambling.

The charity's Chief Executive Colin Bland says even wealthy footballers are getting into financial difficulties through betting.

Former professional footballer Tony Kelly told BBC Breakfast how he lost hundreds and thousands of pounds through his addiction and that gambling is still rife within the game.
