Maidstone prison: Probe into inmates disturbance underway

The union which represents prison officers says staff shortages may been have been one of the reasons for a disturbance involving inmates at Maidstone jail in Kent.

Officers with riot training were sent in to resolve the incident. No-one was hurt and an investigation is now underway.
