How US snow will cause more rain in UK

As the UK deals with yet more severe weather, the midwest and north-east of the US is also struggling with extreme winter conditions.

The weather system producing such severe cold in states from Virginia up to Maine is forecast to move across the Atlantic to affect the UK as well.
