Hammond: 'I want to dispel myth the army isn't recruiting'

Defence Secretary Philip Hammond said a £3m advertising campaign was designed to "dispel the myth" that the Army is not recruiting.

The Army is launching its recruitment campaign with adverts in cinemas and national television.

Although the size of the regular army is being cut from 100,000 troops to 82,000, the Ministry of Defence says it still needs new recruits.
