Somerset fire service pumping three million litres of floodwater per hour
The Environment Agency has warned that high tides and gale-force winds could cause water levels to rise even higher in those areas affected by flooding.
Floodwaters remain high in the Somerset levels with the emergency services assisting with pumping out water.
Simon McNamara, from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue, said they expect to have a presence there for some weeks.
He says they are pumping three million litres of water back into the rivers at three sites every hour, "the equivalent of an Olympic swimming pool".
