Marathon runner Jamie McDonald completes Canada challenge

One year since setting off on a challenge to become the first person to run coast-to-coast across Canada without support, 27-year-old Jamie McDonald from Gloucester has reached his goal.

Dressed as a superhero, he has run 5,000 miles and worn through 10 pairs of trainers to raise funds for hospitals in Canada and the UK.

Jamie kept a video blog along the way, and he spoke to BBC News about his endeavour.
