Residents of Dawlish on the south coast of Devon leave their homes as the sea wall collapses

Homeowners on the sea front in Dawlish on the south coast of Devon were told to leave immediately when the sea wall and rail line in front of their houses collapsed in the stormy weather.

Residents had to grab their most precious possessions and go as parts of the ground under their houses fell away.

Jenny Hill reports.
