Brother of murdered woman welcomes Court of Appeal decision

The brother of a woman who was murdered by her ex-partner has welcomed the Court of Appeal's decision to uphold the right of courts in England and Wales to impose whole-life sentences on offenders who commit the most serious crimes.

Maria Stubbings was killed by Marc Chivers, who had already killed a previous girlfriend.

Her brother, Manuel Fernandez, said that the Appeal Court decision was the right one.
