Giro d'Italia cycle race begins in Northern Ireland

It is one of Italy's biggest sporting events and this Friday, the Giro d'Italia cycle race gets under way in Northern Ireland.

Belfast beat off a rival bid from Venice to host the start of the race and the city has spent the last 14 months preparing for the event.
