Patrick McLoughlin on aviation security: UK has acted on advice

Security is being tightened at airports with direct flights into the US - including some in the UK - in response to US warnings of a "credible threat".

British Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said that aviation security was "under constant review" and the UK had "acted on advice" it had received.

He also said he hoped extra security measures would reassure the public while not leading to significant delays.
