WW1 mystery: Who killed Private John Parr?

At 11pm on the 4th of August 1914 Britain entered into the most destructive war that had ever been fought. World War One would last for more than four years.

Private John Parr was just 17 years old when he became the first British soldier to lose his life. But just how he died is still a mystery.
