Rotherham: Keith Vaz calls for Shaun Wright resignation

Keith Vaz has called on South Yorkshire's police and crime commissioner, Shaun Wright, to resign over the Rotherham abuse scandal.

He urged Mr Wright to resign after the commissioner had finished giving evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee.

Mr Vaz, who chairs the committee, called Mr Wright's evidence "entirely unconvincing".

He also said he would investigate the possibility of emergency legislation to deal with the situation.
