Friend of Alan Henning 'overwhelmed' by donations
A friend of Alan Henning says she is "overwhelmed" by support for a fund set up in his memory.
Dr Shameela Islam-Zulfiqar described Mr Henning as a man with "a golden heart", who was passionate about helping alleviate the suffering of children in Syria.
The 47-year-old taxi driver from Salford was kidnapped by Islamic State while in Syria, and then murdered by the militants.
The fund set up by his family has already raised more than £30,000.
