Trading Standards in crackdown on scam mail fraudsters

More £100,000 has been returned to victims of postal scams thanks to an initiative between National Trading Standards and the Royal Mail.

While it is usually against the law for them to open post, a special exception has been made so that elderly and vulnerable people who are being targeted can be traced.

Liz Sweetman got in touch with BBC Breakfast to explain how how her father, James, had been tricked out of money.

John Maguire has their story and reports on efforts to stop the scammers.
