Barroso: UK has 'zero influence' without EU

The UK would lose influence on the world stage if it voted to leave the EU, the outgoing president of the European Commission has said.

Jose Manuel Barroso told the BBC's Andrew Marr show that Britain would have "zero" influence on its own.

"Inside the European Union you can get much more than outside the European Union", he added.
