Sir Robin Knox-Johnston in Atlantic sailing challenge

Last weekend, the veteran sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston created a stir by lining up for the start of one of the sport's toughest single-handed races.

In 1969 Sir Robin was the first man to sail solo round the world without stopping. He was 30 then.

Now, at the age of 75, he is in the Route du Rhum race across the Atlantic from St Malo in Brittany to Guadeloupe in the Caribbean.
