Counter-terrorism: 'Families must help spot extremism' - Met Police

Two brothers have become the first Britons to be jailed for terrorism training in Syria in 2013.

Mohommod Nawaz, 30, and Hamza Nawaz, 24, both from Stratford, east London, were sentenced to four-and-a-half years and three years respectively.

Det Chief Supt Terri Nicholson from the Metropolitan Police's counter-terrorism command spoke to the BBC on the role of families and the internet in spotting potential extremists.
