'There may be other victims of Ray Teret' say police

A former radio DJ who was a friend of Jimmy Savile has been found guilty of a string of historical sex allegations.

Ray Teret, 73, from Altrincham, was convicted of seven counts of rape and 11 counts of indecent assault.

He abused girls aged as young as 13 between 1962 and 1979.

Speaking to reporters after the verdict, Detective Sergeant Carol Barlow of Greater Manchester Police paid tribute to the bravery of the women who had given evidence, and said she believed other victims would come forward.
