Winter weather: UK braced for snow and gales

Commuters are being warned of potential disruption as snow is forecast to fall across many parts of the UK.

The Met Office has issued an amber severe weather warning - meaning "be prepared" - for snow for central and southern Scotland.

Lower level yellow warnings are in place for snow, ice, gales and rain for the rest of the UK.
