Motorists across Wales warned over ice and snow on roads

Motorists are being urged to take care on roads as snow spreads and is set to continue overnight.

The heaviest snow has been falling in in mid, north and west Wales for much of the day, forcing a number of schools to close.

Now the wintry showers have moved further south, with snow falling on higher ground in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Council gritters are out on the road as more snow, ice and wind are forecast overnight and into Wednesday.

Matthew Murray reports.
